We are all set to launch the Headline Challenge for 2026.
Anthony James McCarthy was the 2025 champ and Mick Sullivan (below) won in 2024.
There’s another glittering trophy up for grabs this year, so here’s a reminder of the rules:
* I will post a light-hearted story from around the world at least once a week and suggest a headline.
* Participants have to come up with a better headline than mine.
* The winning headline gets at least a point. Double points for song titles, films, stage plays and books.
* People can play on the Barron Media accounts on both Facebook and Twitter
* The leaderboard is posted once a month – result announced just before Christmas.
* First headline on the way. Good luck everyone.
