NATURALLY, we get a buzz when our stories make it into the national press or big regional newspapers.
And yet we also love it when we reach down into the grass roots of the communities we are writing about.
The recent press article we produced on the opening of Little Wings nursery at Bowburn Primary School is a great example.
It received some lovely publicity in the bigger regional papers, and we were delighted to be contacted by the volunteers behind the Bowburn Interchange newsletter, asking if they could use our story and pictures.
The answer, of course, was ‘yes’ because community newsletters are often a vital source of information for local people.
Big or small, national or parochial, it’s all part of getting the story out there.
